AI Search Readiness
How your site appears in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews
Technical SEO Findings
Crawlability, indexing, speed, schema, and mobile issues
Action Plan
Prioritised fixes ranked by impact, not by alphabet
Before you start, you'll need three things:
  1. Claude Pro or Max plan: sign up at claude.ai (this is the only cost)
  2. Python 3.10 or higher: the installer checks for this and exits if it's missing
  3. Git: used to download the skill files during install

The SEO skill itself is free and open-source. Setup takes about 5 minutes.

1

Install Claude Code

Claude Code is Anthropic's command-line tool. It runs in your terminal and gives Claude the ability to read files, run commands, and browse the web. This is what powers the whole audit.

On Mac or Linux, open Terminal and run this:

Terminal
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code

Once installed, launch Claude Code to verify:

Terminal
claude

It'll ask you to log in the first time. Sign in with your Claude account and you're set.

Windows? Claude Code works on Windows via WSL, or download the desktop app from claude.ai/code for a one-click install.
2

Install the SEO skill

This installs the Claude SEO skill, a set of specialised agents that know how to crawl sites, analyse content quality, validate schema markup, check technical health, and evaluate AI search visibility. One command installs everything.

Terminal
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AgriciDaniel/claude-seo/main/install.sh | bash

You'll see it install the skill and all its agents. Takes about 30 seconds.

3

Run your audit

Open Claude Code, type the command below, and replace the URL with your site. Claude will spin up five agents in parallel, no waiting for one to finish before the next starts.

Claude Code
/seo audit https://yoursite.com

After about three minutes you'll get a full report: health score, findings by category, keyword gaps, content analysis, and your AI search readiness plan.

What to expect: You'll see agents running simultaneously in the terminal: technical, content, on-page, schema, and AI visibility all checked at the same time. This is why it finishes in minutes instead of hours.

What to try after the audit

Once you've run the full audit, these are the most useful follow-up commands:

/seo geo https://yoursite.com
AI search visibility check: how your site appears when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews about your topic. This is where most sites have a blind spot.
/seo page https://yoursite.com/your-best-page
Deep single-page analysis. Best used on your homepage, a key service page, or a landing page you're trying to rank. You'll get specific rewrite suggestions, not general advice.
/seo schema https://yoursite.com
Validate your structured data and generate missing schema markup. If your site has no schema, Claude will write the JSON-LD code you can paste directly into your pages.
/seo cluster "your main keyword"
Build a content strategy around any topic. Returns a hub-and-spoke map of related keywords, intent clusters, and a content plan that covers the full search landscape for that subject.

The business owners getting the most out of this aren't technical. They're consultants who now deliver a complete SEO audit in their first client call instead of billing weeks of discovery. Freelancers who've added SEO services to their menu without hiring anyone. Solo operators who were spending $1,500 to $3,000 a month on agencies for reports that came once a quarter.

The audit runs in three minutes. The agency charged for three weeks.
