Three steps to connect Higgsfield's AI models to your Claude Code session. Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, all from a plain text prompt in your terminal.

Higgsfield is an AI video and image generation platform. Their MCP server connects it directly to Claude Code, so instead of jumping between your terminal and a separate creative tool, you describe the shot you want and Claude picks the right model, runs the generation, and brings the result back to your session. No API keys. No separate app. One command to wire it up.

Before you start: You'll need Claude Code installed and a Higgsfield account. Claude Code requires a Claude Pro or Max plan at claude.ai. Higgsfield has a free tier with 10 credits per day, enough to follow this guide and test your first generations.
1

Create a Higgsfield account

Go to higgsfield.ai and create a free account. The free tier resets daily, enough to test the models and see what they can do before committing to a paid plan.

Pricing note: The free tier gives you 10 credits per day (roughly 1 to 2 short video clips daily depending on the model). The Starter plan at $15/month (billed annually) gives 200 credits. Plus at $39/month (billed annually) gives 1,000. Different models consume different credit amounts: Kling 3.0 costs more than image generation.
2

Add the Higgsfield MCP to Claude Code

Open your terminal and run this one command. It registers Higgsfield's hosted MCP server with Claude Code. No npm packages, no API keys to copy, nothing to configure manually.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user higgsfield https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp

Don't have Claude Code yet? Install it first:

What --scope user means: The MCP is registered for your user account across all Claude Code projects, not just the current folder. You only need to run this command once.
3

Authenticate and verify

Start Claude Code and run the /mcp slash command or ask Claude to generate something. On first use, Claude Code will open a browser window to authenticate with your Higgsfield account via OAuth. Sign in, return to the terminal, and you're set.

To confirm Higgsfield is connected:

Terminal
claude mcp list

Higgsfield should appear in the list with a green check. You now have access to these models:

Veo 3.1 Google, video
Sora 2 OpenAI, video
Kling 3.0 Kuaishou, video
Seedance 2.0 ByteDance, video
Soul Cinema Higgsfield, video
Flux 2 Black Forest, image
GPT Image 2 OpenAI, image
Nano Banana Pro Image
Soul V2 Character video
Claude picks the model for you. Just describe the shot. You don't need to specify which model to use. Claude selects the best one for the job and configures it. You can override and request a specific model if you want.

What to generate first

Paste any of these into Claude Code to test your setup. These are the prompts that produce the most useful creative assets: cinematic B-roll, product visuals, and social media footage you'd normally outsource.

Cinematic B-roll: Reel hook
"Generate a cinematic video clip: medium wide shot, a lone figure walks through a rain-soaked city street at night, neon reflections rippling across wet pavement, slow dolly-in from behind, shallow depth of field, muted blues and oranges, film grain, 4K"
Editorial hero image: Landing page
"Generate an image: minimal product shot, a sleek open laptop on white marble, soft side lighting from a window, shallow depth of field, muted tones, editorial magazine style, top-down angle, 4K"
Aerial drone B-roll: Social media
"Generate a cinematic video clip: aerial drone shot looking straight down at a city grid at night, car headlights streaking orange lines through dark blocks, slow clockwise rotation, deep blacks, warm city glow, cinematic colour grade, 4K"
Abstract tech visual: Reel B-roll
"Generate a video clip: abstract macro shot, glowing golden light particles flowing and connecting like a neural network, deep black background, slow drift left to right, warm amber tones, otherworldly and premium feel, 4K"
Prompt structure that works: Composition + Subject + Camera move + Mood. One camera move per clip. Stacked moves look less cinematic. Keep motion simple and let the subject carry the scene.
