A Claude skill that reads your meeting transcript, researches the prospect, and writes a print-ready proposal plus the email to send it with. Set it up once, use it after every call.
A skill is a reusable instruction set you upload to Claude once. Claude reads it automatically whenever it's relevant. This particular skill saves proposals to your computer, so it runs in Claude Cowork, Anthropic's desktop app that has filesystem access. One-time setup, then it works in the background on every call.
Claude has native connectors for five meeting note tools. Connecting one means Claude can pull your transcript directly, no copy-paste, no file exports. This is done in claude.ai in your browser, no extra software needed.
Open a new conversation in Claude, click the + button (or attachment menu) at the bottom of the chat, select Browse connectors, find your tool, and click Add. Authorise when prompted.
The five available meeting connectors:
Once connected, test it with this prompt in Claude chat:
Grab the transcript from my last meeting.
Claude returns the transcript text. Once you can see it, the connection is working. You'll use this same prompt after every call.
The skill needs your business details baked in before you install it: name, contact info, how you price your service, your standard deliverables. Fill them in here and download a personalised zip. Pick whichever method works for you.
Downloads client-proposal.zip
with your details baked in. Nothing is sent anywhere (runs entirely in your browser).
Then head to Step 3 below to install it.
Copy the prompt below, paste it into any Claude chat (claude.ai works fine), and let Claude ask you the questions one section at a time. If you give it your website URL first, it'll draft the answers from your site and confirm them with you. When it's done, paste Claude's output back here and download.
1. Copy this prompt
I'm setting up a client-proposal skill for Claude and need to configure it with my business details. Ask me about the following sections one at a time — confirm each section before moving on to the next:
1. About me: full name, business name, email, phone, website domain
2. My service: what I call it (e.g. "Operations Audit"), a one-line tagline, the type of client I serve
3. Branding: where to save proposals (full folder path with trailing slash, e.g. ~/Documents/Proposals/), primary brand hex color, lighter variant hex — or I'll say "default" to keep teal
4. Pricing: billing rate for ROI math (e.g. $150/hr), tax label (e.g. "+ GST" or "none"), price ranges by team size
5. My four deliverables: title and description for each (1–2 lines per description)
6. My four process steps: title and description for each, plus default timeline and delivery format
If I give you my website URL, visit it and use what you find to draft initial answers — but still confirm each section with me before finalising.
After I've confirmed everything, output ONLY a fenced code block in this exact format (key: value, one per line, nothing else after the block):
```
name:
business:
email:
phone:
website:
service_name:
service_tagline:
client_industry:
Ready? What's your website URL, or would you prefer to start without one?
2. Paste Claude's output here
After Claude finishes interviewing you, it will output a code block. Paste the entire thing below, backticks and all.
Downloads client-proposal.zip
with your details baked in. Runs entirely in your browser.
Then head to Step 3 below to install it.
This skill saves files to your computer, so it needs to run in Claude Cowork, not the browser. Download it from claude.ai/download.
client-proposal.zipAfter any discovery or intro call, open Claude Cowork and run the skill. Claude will ask for the client name, then pull the transcript straight from your connected meeting tool, no exporting, no copy-pasting. If it can't find it, it'll ask you to paste.
To print to PDF: open proposal.html in your browser, press ⌘+P, choose "Save as PDF", and make sure Print backgrounds is checked. The template is already calibrated to one A4 page.
